For me, this is a bit of a change of pace. However, these B&Ws caught my eye, so I thought I would pass them along. Many more are waiting in the article, including several more from around the world. 1. Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridge, New York |

As time rolls on, it is becoming more evident everyday that we are living in a Google world. What began as a search engine in January 1996 has quickly evolved into many additional things. Just this month, Google entered the cell phone business when they released the Nexus One smart phone. This followed by a story that Google is working its way into the real estate business. What’s next? |
Google Buys HTC – Maker of the Google Nexus One |
Google Buys a Major Cell Phone Provider (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, etc.) |
Google Buys DirecTv & Netflix and Combines The Two |
Google Buys Lava Lite, Makers of the Original Lava Lamp |
Google Acquires the Link Buying Market |
There be enough hideous creatures there already!! Besides, Costa Rica didn’t hurt anybody…they are a friendly, peaceful people what with all that socialized health care they have been getting for years…but I digress.

Even some of my more "techy" colleagues will end up saying, "Just show me what you're talking about," when I get into social media, sharing services, and the like.
This link has some great graphics that you might find useful in a presentation. I guarantee you that, with a few exceptions, if you are pitching the idea of social media to attorneys, a few of these might come in handy. URL: www.webdoctus.com
A Mom’s-Eye View on Taking the President’s Advice, One Day at a Time |
| Tucked among Lego models, sports memorabilia, and other treasures my 10-year-old guards carefully in his bed’s built-in drawers is a letter from Barack Obama he got in July 2008, when he was 9. |
| Truth is, it most likely was a (very nice) form letter, penned by a campaign staffer. But its messages are pure Barack. |
“Don’t take that
comfortable road.”

“Look up
the word ‘empathy.’”

Kiss, kiss…I can’t stay mad at the big Internet lug for too long. I mean it’s “the Google,” after all, as he’s called at my house. I even got carried away enough to turn Buzz back on just for Twitter feeds. Google Street View has civilization well covered, but what about the great outdoors? Street View now travels via snowmobile in the unpaved Canadian wilderness, just in time for the winter games. |
| In time for the Olympic Games in Vancouver and Whistler, we’re thrilled to be bringing this view to the world through Street View on Google Maps. How were we able to gather imagery at 7,000 feet (2,000 meters)? The Street View team’s constant experimenting yielded a snowmobile decked out with cameras to capture slope-level imagery of several runs on Whistler Blackcomb Mountains… |
These are really excellent, and well worth viewing. I clipped most of them featured in the article, but only up through 1960. Check out the rest, and let the games begin!
